Craig Toberman, Founder of fee-only financial planning firm Toberman Wealth, was recently profiled by Investor’s Business Daily as a financial advisor that finds an innovative way to distinguish themselves from their competitors by adding extra value to the services they provide.
The piece notes that since the wealth management market is very competitive, many financial planning practices differentiate themselves by their “holistic approach,…proprietary trading strategies or other portfolio management tools”.
Toberman Wealth was one of three financial planners featured by Investor’s Business Daily on how they are adding value in a slightly different way.
Craig explains why his family business consulting services fits his wealth management clients so well: he is a CPA and certified financial planner so his niche expertise goes hand in hand with his clients’ goals.
“About 60% of my (investment management) clients choose to add this on,” Toberman said. “I contract separately with them for my business services. By offering all these services, I can do certain things that bigger firms can’t.” he says.
In addition, Toberman’s family business services helps their clients’ businesses hire and train accounting staff, upgrade their accounting software, and advise on strategic and succession planning.
